Earth Observation for building sustainable and climate resilient human settlement

The NEOSS Human Settlement and Spatial Planning Community of Practice (CoP) invite you to the upcoming CoP meeting scheduled for Thursday, 27 November 2025, from 09:00 to 11:00 (SAST) via Microsoft Teams.

The NEOSS CoPs serve as dynamic platforms for knowledge exchange and collaboration, catalysing discussions on critical issues in space science, innovation, and Earth observations.
 This session will provide an important opportunity to share insights, lessons learned, and emerging opportunities that support sustainable human settlement development and spatial planning.
 

During this session, we will:
•    Engage with professionals and experts 
•    Explore innovative approaches and applications of EO and geospatial information for evidence-based planning and decision-making

Participants who wish to present their work related to the use of Earth Observation (EO) and geospatial technologies in human settlements and spatial planning are kindly invited to submit an abstract for a 10-minute presentation. Selected presenters will have the opportunity to showcase their research, case studies, or practical applications to the broader CoP network.
