Satellite Communications and Navigations

CoP is dedicated to promoting the use of satellite communications and navigations to deliver useful digital services to navigate, make decisions, or communicate in new ways and propose approaches to advance policy discussions leading towards support and identification of programmes and initiatives relevant to advance community interests.

  • Involvement in the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG), Programme on Space Applications (PSA), International Telecommunications Union (ITU), UNCOPUOS and relevant working groups.
  • Support the finalisation of the Satcom Strategy with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identification of initiatives for driving the implementation of the strategy.
  • Establishment of links with major research and implementing institutions in navigation and communications.
  • Encouragement of relevant scientists and technical experts to contribute to the Community.
